 | Living with Body Odor | Oct 14, 2008 |
If you are suffering from Body Odor like me, you probably know what I have to go through every day to feed and clothe myself. Normal people are quick to dismiss body odor as bad hygiene. They don't know that people like us are clean from years of public ridicule and verbal abuse. That aside from body odor, we also have to deal with anxiety, social phobia, rejections, isolation and financial worries. That everytime we stink at work, we always worry about our jobs. There are no known treatments to TMAU yet. But finding the right diet/food that will keep our body odor in check takes time, even years. I thought my body odor was caused by heavy smoking. It turns out it was far worse than that. It is genetic. I do not have a boyfriend, so child-bearing seems so distant a prospect. But what if someone comes along, who would accept me as I am, would he understand if we cannot have a baby? But then it is a long shot. Normal people have a hard time wrapping their mind around body odor, not when they're having a good laugh with their normal friends.
I made this blog for various reasons. Firstly, to ask for understanding. Secondly, to find an outlet for my frustrations and stress. Thirdly, to do something I only wished I could do when I was young- to write. Fourthly, to meet like-minded people who are not afraid to show their other side. Lastly, to entertain myself.
